The Thanda Foundation Trust was established to engage with the socio-economic, educational and developmental needs of the three tribal communities neighbouring Thanda Safari, as well as to preserve the Zulu culture. The Trust supports various community-based projects and acts as a conduit for fundraising for these projects.
The Star for Life Project is a Thanda-led awareness, education and prevention programme which reaches over 150 000 children at over 100 schools in Southern Africa. Launched as a school-based HIV and AIDS prevention programme, its mission is to inspire young people to value learning, acquire the knowledge and skills they need for productive work and to live healthy and meaningful lives.
